The Only Mortal in Heaven — Episode 7: A Way Back

The archangel calls Angel away on urgent business, leaving William alone by a window while every demon in the hall stares at the human. Asmodea strolls over in black leather, pleased to see him out of bed. Tonight is still on, she reminds him, so he had better not make her come looking. Then she leans in close, catches a scent of feathers, and her smile vanishes.

Angel returns with golden marks on her legs and big news. The archangel has found old chronicles describing a way to send William back to Earth. "Back? I'm dead." There is a ritual, Angel says, and she will explain it in the ward. Asmodea purrs that she wouldn't miss it. By his bed, the catch comes out: William returns alive, but both of his guardians must pay a price. Episode 7 of The Only Mortal in Heaven sets up the finale, with subtitles keeping every twist clear.
