The Only Mortal in Heaven — Episode 5: Even Angels Get Hungry

William coughs up blood, and nobody can explain why. Angel settles him by the fountain and tells him to stay put: "I'll find something that helps. I'll be quick." But strange sounds drift through the marble halls, and William is too restless to wait. He follows them to a half-open door and finds angels tangled together, their eyes glowing blue as something bright passes between them. So this is how angels really live.

Angel catches him there, cheeks flushed. "I told you to wait." She pulls him away; she never meant him to find out this early. Now William has one question he cannot let go of: does she do that too? She promises an answer, just not in that hallway, and takes his hand to lead him out into the garden. Episode 5 of The Only Mortal in Heaven is all curiosity and slow-burning tension, easy to follow with subtitles.
